The Centre for Adult Learning & Professional Development provides an orientation for part-time business students before the start of the academic year.   This is an important day and provides students with an opportunity to meet with fellow students and staff members.  We will guide you through essential resources and facilities that you will use, such as Blackboard, the University’s online learning portal.  Subjects covered at orientation include:

  •  Course Structure and Regulations
  • Academic Skills Hub
  • Introduction to Information Solution & Services
  • Introduction to Blackboard (virtual learning environment)
  • Course specific breakout sessions

For students who are unavailable to attend orientation in person, we live-stream the event.  Live stream links are circulated to students in advance of orientation.  We recommend bringing a laptop/tablet with you to the Orientation Day if possible.

The next orientation date is 7th September 2019.  Details for the event will be circulated to new students in advance of the event.

Student Identity Cards

Student identity cards are available for collection at orientation. For those who cannot attend orientation, student cards will be posted to them.
