FinTech is short for Financial Technology - the new and exciting technology transforming the financial services sector. Worldwide FinTech funding hit $15 billion by mid-August 2016.

Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome to attend - from those who have next to no knowledge of FinTech but would be interested in finding out what words like bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrency mean to those who are more advanced in their understanding of finance and technology.

Following the global financial crisis he took up the role of Director of Enforcement and Financial Crime in 2010 as part of the mission to reform the Irish central banking and financial regulation authority.  He founded FinTech Ireland in 2014 and utilises his unique skill set of banking, payments, regulation and FinTech to advise firms on regulatory issues facing the FinTech sector.
