Poonam Shokar
Poonam Shokar
Poonam Shokar is a Doctoral Candidate at the ICHR specialising in socio-economic rights, in particular social housing and welfare in the United Kingdom and Ireland. She has obtained an LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Galway and has a LLB in Human Rights Law obtained at the University of Aberystwyth (Prifsgol Aberstwyth).
Thesis Topic: Austerity as Retrogression: The Right to Adequate Housing and Social Security in the United Kingdom and Ireland
