Sligo Medical Academy
Welcome to Sligo Medical Academy
Sligo Medical Academy Graduation 2023
Established in 2009, Sligo Medical Academy provides Clinical Teaching to over 60 3MB,4MB and 5 MB students, rotating here for one year, January to December of either 3MB/4MB or 4MB/5MB. Our team of Lecturers and Strand Leaders provide an excellent clinical immersion experience on site. You will get a chance to work with clinical teachers across specialties from your first clinical experience in 3MB to your fine tuning of skills prior to qualifying as Junior Interns.
What does our Academy Offer?
Sligo Medical Academy is a purpose built facility intergrated with the University of Galway, with wifi, a lecture room, clinical skills lab, tutorial rooms, a kitchen and a social area with the best views in Sligo!
Where to find us:
The Sligo Medical Academy is located on the 7th and 8th floor of Sligo University Hospital. Reception and the tutors offices are located to the right on the 8th floor.

- TFI Local Link bus - This service connect communities throughout rural Ireland as part of the TFI Public Transport Network. They form a network of affordable bus services for everyone who wants to travel to travel to or from local towns and villages. We have two different types of Local Link service: Regular Rural Bus Services and Door-to-Door Bus Services. Please find timetables here
