Biography

I have over thirty years of professional experience in both the Irish & International Hospitality Industry and the Further and Higher Education Sector.

During my career in the Hospitlity Industry, I held a number of supervisory and managerial roles in the UK and Ireland.  These roles encompassed the mangerial and operational functioning of the Accommodation Departments within 5 Star Hotel establishments.

I was also employed with CERT (now Failte Ireland), the National Training and Educational Organisation within hospitlity and tourism in Ireland.  This involved the delivery and training of specific skills in conjuction with a range of hospitality organisations and associated tourism stakeholders.

Following on from this time, I began my tenure at the Shannon College of Hotel Management to manage and develop the Accommodation Management/Service Skills component of the Level 8 Degree Programme in International Hotel Management.  Additioanlly, I delivered the Business Skills Development module to undergraduate students and contributed to Final Year Research Project supervision duties.

Currently I am involved in a Student Support role in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
