Current project: Suitability of municipal WWTPs for treatment of landfill leachate in Ireland 

Research interests include:

- Phosphorus recovery from wastewater streams
- Development of filters for use in agriculture and forestry nutrient management
- Wastewater treatment technologies
- Sustainable phosphorus management systems
- Biochar use in agriculture
