Céire Broderick, Conference Organiser and Steering Committe Chair
Céire received her BA International in Spanish and French, and her MA in Spanish from NUI Galway. She is currently at the last stage of her PhD in Latin American Studies. As an ALIVE intern, Céire is working to organise NUI Galway’s Second Undergraduate Research conference. She coordinates the student volunteers who work on the conference organisation committee. Céire is also collaborating with Lorraine McIlrath to facilitate NUI Galway’s participation in the Irish Pilot Study of the Carnegie Foundation’s Elective Community Engagement Classification. Working with CKI has introduced her to another aspect of university life she had previously not experienced, but for which she has developed a great passion. CKI’s core values of the democratisation of learning and multilateral exchange of knowledge coincide with Céire’s approach to teaching and learning within the Discipline of Spanish.
