Broadening the debate:  Understanding the social context of youth mental health

Mental health issues among young people have increased in recent years and there is now growing awareness of the key influence of social factors on youth mental health. The purpose of this event is to consider and discuss risk and protective factors for youth mental health, in the contexts of family, peer, school and community.  

Academics, practitioners and young people from diverse perspectives will share their insights on the role that youth’s social contexts play in shaping mental health and wellbeing. 

This event is hosted by the HRB funded Inform-YSP research study at the University of Galway.
