Engagement Programme

The ILAS Engagement Programme continues to focus on key areas of the Institute’s interest in Enabling Equity across the Life Course.  The programme is designed around two Series: The ILAS International Training Series and the ILAS Public Policy Innovation Series.

The ILAS International Training Series provides training on state-of-the-art methodological approaches for conducting impactful and inclusive life-course research. This year themes will include: Research decision-making with community partners and people with lived experience, Innovations in participatory research methods, and Multidisciplinary perspectives on evaluate frameworks for assessing the value of health and social care interventions.

The ILAS Public Policy Innovation Series examines policy making innovation across the life course and offers a space for policy stakeholders to critically reflect on what makes effective public policy. The conversation will continue bringing together senior officials from across the civil and public service, civil society leaders and academics to debate the current status and future potential of Public Engagement for Better Policy in Ireland and how institutions might best respond to enhanced participation.
