Rethink Ireland
About Us
Rethink Ireland is a national organisation supporting innovative non-profit organisations, charities and social enterprises working to address some of Ireland’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. Its ambition is to help create a more just, equal and sustainable Ireland by identifying and supporting ideas that have the potential to make a lasting difference in communities across the country.
Through its venture philanthropy model, Rethink Ireland provides social innovations with a combination of cash grants, business support, expertise and access to networks. This support is designed to help organisations strengthen their capacity, develop their ideas and maximise their impact, enabling successful approaches to reach more people and communities across Ireland.
Rethink Ireland’s work spans a range of areas including education, health, social enterprise, equality and the green transition. Its programmes support organisations tackling issues such as educational disadvantage, mental health, social exclusion, inequality, sustainability, climate change and the development of a more inclusive economy.
Working in partnership with government, businesses, foundations, families and individuals, Rethink Ireland aims to bring people and organisations together around innovative solutions to social challenges. Since its establishment as Social Innovation Fund Ireland in 2013, the organisation has developed a national role in strengthening social innovation and supporting ideas that can contribute to meaningful and sustainable social change in Ireland.
