Research methodology plays an important role in understanding complex social and societal challenges. At the Institute for Lifecourse and Society (ILAS), researchers use a range of approaches to explore experiences, generate knowledge and develop evidence that can inform policy and practice.

This collection brings together learning resources on research methodologies and approaches used across interdisciplinary research at ILAS and the University of Galway.

The resources are designed to support researchers, students, practitioners and others interested in developing their understanding of different approaches to research, data collection, participation and knowledge generation.
