Reporting to the Charities Regulator

As a Registered Charity under the Charities Act 2009 (Registered Charity Number (RCN) 20002107), University of Galway is required to comply with the provisions of the Charites Governance Code. 

We are required to complete a Charities Governance Code Compliance Record Form every year. Preparation is coordinated by the Office of the Secretary for Governance & Academic Affairs and the form is approved by Údarás na hOllscoile.

We also submit annual financial returns, including our audited financial statements to the Charities Regulator each year. We are required to confirm our compliance with the Charities Governance Code as part of these submissions. Submission of the annual financial returns to the Charities Regulator is handled by the Financial Accounting Office on confirmation that Údarás na hOllscoile has approved the Compliance Record Form.
