Biography

I am currently working on a strategic project in the JE Cairnes School of Business and Economics that aims to map the work of faculty members to the relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The project is an interview-based action research for in-depth mapping and development of engagement with the SDGs at Target level. The project highlights existing work that is contributing to the SDGs in the business school as well as areas for learning and improvement. Finding areas of shared interest across the School and the wider university, with the aim of discovering new opportunities for internal collaboration and external partnerships.  Outputs from the project include SDG profiles of each member of faculty and a website that enables this information to be searched and displayed in a visually appealing way. Ann's work includes exploring how faculty integrate sustainability in their work and on how community is created and valued in different settings: including participation in online public engagement, co-creation in recovery education and hybrid/remote workers experience of value creation in rural communities. Her work takes a co-creation and information sharing approach which aims to make research accessible to all.
