Annual Review - University Safety Statement Process

What is the Annual Review - University Safety Statement?

The University of Galway as an employer is required to have a Safety Statement which meets the requirements of Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.   This includes the requirement to ensure that the Statement is valid and current. Accordingly, the Health and Safety Office arranges for the University Safety Statement to be reviewed annually.
