Why cant I register online?

Scenario   Solution
First of all, check the Online Registration schedule.  Online registration may not yet be open for your programme! Click here for opening and closing dates 
New Student? Have you received your offer in the last 24 hours If so please wait 48 hours before you access your online registration as your record won’t be on the system.
You cannot register online if you have outstanding fees, NON EU fees must have payment made in advance of registration    Please contact fees@universityofgalway.ie to discuss
If you receive this message on login “Your login credentials are invalid”   Please contact servicedesk@universityofgalway.ie

I cannot upload a photo online what will i do?

All first year students must load a passport sized photo which will be printed on your Student ID card. Please email a photo to regphotos@universityofgalway.ie noting your student ID number in the subject line of the email, and we can save to your record. 

I am a new student how do I get my student ID Card?

I would like to update my home address but I am not allowed to do so on my Student Portal

To update your home address e-mail  askregistry@universityofgalway.ie stating your ID number, your old address and your current address.

How can I check if I have registered correctly?
