Amarpreet Sawhney is a serial entrepreneur, with a deep interest in medical devices. He is the Chairman and CEO OF Instylla Inc., which is developing new liquid embolics for tumour embolisation and hemostasis. He is also CEO of Rejoni Inc., which develops products to prevent adhesions following gynaecological interventions. Dr. Sawhney holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi.

Carlos Peña
Carlos Peña, PhD, MS, is Chief Regulatory Officer and Chief Quality Officer, leading the newly-established Offices of Regulatory Services and Office of Quality Services at the Jacobs Institute. Carlos served 20+ years as a public servant in federal government. Before joining the JI, Carlos served as the Director of the Office of Neurological and Physical Medicine Devices at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), based in the Washington, DC area. Carlos holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University and a Masters in Comparative Physiology from the University of Connecticut.

Susan Drapeau is the Vice President for Product Development and commercialisation at Bruder Consulting and Venture Group (BCVG). Susan has over 24 years of industry experience in cell therapy, biologics, biomaterials, protein therapies and medical device development. Before joining BCVG in 2022, Susan led product development, regulatory, preclinical, and programme management at Sigilon Therapeutics, a cell therapy company combining biomaterials and cellular engineering to treat rare diseases.
