2025 TTRA Conference
The Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) is dedicated to improving the quality, scope, and impact of travel and tourism research. Founded in 1970, TTRA serves as a global network for tourism research professionals, offering access to cutting-edge data, analysis, and insights. Through its conferences, publications, and collaborative community, TTRA empowers members to make informed decisions that drive the travel and tourism industry forward.
The theme for this year’s conference is EXPLORE, INNOVATE, TRANSFORM: Influencing the Future of Global Travel and Tourism Research.
EXPLORE: Encourages participants to delve into new research areas, share ways to strategically utilize existing research and data, discover emerging trends, and embrace diverse perspectives rooted in curiosity and open-mindedness.
INNOVATE: Highlights the need for fresh ideas and new methodologies in a rapidly evolving industry, essential for resilience and adaptability.
TRANSFORM: Focuses on significant, impactful advancements, not just incremental changes, to reshape the future of travel and tourism.
INFLUENCING THE FUTURE: Ties everything together, as the purpose of this conference is to actively contribute to the future direction of the industry through research.
Dr. Sean T.Ruane, lecturer at Shannon College and newly appointed president of the TTRA, opened and welcomed this years international event in Galway with over 300 delegates present including Galway Mayor. Mike Cubbard.
He was joined by some members of staff and current students who represented college so well during the two day event.
