NUI Galway Legal and Political Theory Workshop Series The Workshop aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum for presenting and discussing work in legal and political theory, broadly construed. This includes, but is not limited to, work in jurisprudence, legal reasoning, applied legal theory, critical legal theory, moral and political philosophy, political theory, and the history of legal and political ideas. The Workshop is convened by Eoin Daly, John Danaher, and Ioanna Tourkochoriti. This week's speaker, Michael Frazer, is a Lecturer in Political and Social Theory at the University of East Anglia. His research focuses on canonical moral and political philosophy, with a focus on its relevance for contemporary political theory and the philosophy of social science. He is the author of ‘The Enlightenment of Sympathy: Justice and the Moral Sentiments in the Eighteenth Century and Today’ (Oxford University Press, 2010), as well as many shorter works.
