Quaker meeting for worship (Religious Society of Friends in Ireland) - all welcome

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 17:15:00 IST - Wed, 20 Apr 2016 18:00:00 IST, 17.15

At The Common room adjacent to the College chapel

Organised by Every 1 month(s) on the third Wednesday

There will be tea/coffee and biscuits on offer after the Meeting for Worship - you are welcome to attend either or both, if you are interested in finding out more about Irish Quakers. A Quaker Style Meeting for Worship is based on a group of people sitting in silent waiting on God. Anyone at the meeting is free to contribute in word or song if they feel moved to do so in the Spirit of the meeting. There are no special prayers and no structure to meeting. The meeting usually ends with a hand- shake. All who wish to sit in silence and peace in the presence of God are welcome - you don’t have to be a Quaker, you don't have to profess to any belief at all – walk in, sit down – and then we try to be still.
