The German Drama Group at NUI Galway stages a play in the German language every year.

This year there will be a performance of Arthur Schnitzler’s Der grüne Kakadu directed by Gabriele Behrens (please see poster attached).

This performance will be dedicated to the memory of Eoin Burke, Professor Emeritus of German at NUI Galway. It is was one of Eoin’s many merits that he introduced the annual play  and made it a highlight in the life of the Department. 

Opening night: Tuesday, 13 March at 7 p.m., Bank of Ireland Theatre (next to the College Bar).

 The evening  will begin with some reflections on Eoin’s  time at NUI Galway.

 Performances on 14 and 15 March will begin at 8 pm.

 All are welcome. Admission free.
