The gender dimensions in the debate on African land tenure systems
Ulrike Schultz is a professor of development sociology at the Adventist University of Friedensau and affiliated to the Free University of Berlin. Dr Schultz currently studies ethnicity, gender and nation building in the context of return programs in South Sudan. She has also researched the negotiation of modernization and Islamization in Sudanese households, women and finance in Sudan, and has studied pastoralism and social change in Kenya. She is currently a visiting professor at NUIM, Department of anthropology.
