Research Ireland just announced the COALESCE award of €349,000 for a three-year research project ‘Navigating Human Displacement: Climate, Conflict, Green Skills, and Climate-Finance Pathways in Ethiopia’ (NaHuDi) led by Dr Una Murray in Geography in collaboration with Dr Tekalign Ayalew of Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. The project offers a timely exploration of the challenges and opportunities that arise from climate change, conflict, and internal displacement, highlighting also the perspectives of displaced young people in relation to their skills and the green economy.
