Donor Programme
Anatomical Donor Programme
Thank you for visiting the Anatomical Donor Programme (body donation) website at the University of Galway.
Unfortunately, at present, the University’s Donor Programme has been paused for the acceptance of body donations. This is due to our current lack of space to accommodate new donors.
This means that we are unable to accept any registered donors who have died during this time.
This measure is temporary and we plan to resume the acceptance of body donations from January 2027.
Our sincere condolences to the families of those donors who have died during this period who therefore were unable to bequest their bodies for the purposes of teaching and advancement in medical research. We are grateful for their most honourable intention which serves as wonderful encouragement to others.
