ARDEN Project
Welcome to the ARDEN (Indoor Air, Ventilation and comfoRt in Irish Domestic dwellings post DEep Energy reNovations) project website.
ARDEN is a new research project which will measure indoor air quality, ventilation and thermal comfort in Irish homes participating in the SEAI Deep Energy Renovations pilot programme. This project will be led by researchers at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact that retrofitting homes to a higher energy efficient standard has on indoor air quality and thermal comfort. The project will investigate changes in air quality in your home and energy use in your home before and after the energy retrofit.
