Annual Workshop
Annual Workshop
Each year CERIS hosts a multi-day research workshop, bring together researchers from across Ireland and international keynote speakers to present and discuss their work relating to inequality and sustainability.
CERIS Workshop 2025
The 3rd Annual Centre for Economic Research on Inclusivity and Sustainability (CERIS) Workshop took place on 25-26 September 2025 at the University of Galway. The focus of the workshop was replication in economics and the event was held in conjunction with the Institute for Replication (I4R). Day 1 featured a Replication Workshop showcasing examples of recent and ongoing replications in economics, along with a keynote address by Dr. Derek Mikola from I4R titled Mass Reproducibility and Replicability: A New Hope. CERIS Workshop 2024
The 2nd Annual Centre for Economic Research on Inclusivity and Sustainability (CERIS) Workshop took place on 10-11 October 2024 at the University of Galway. There were four sessions on Climate/Urban, Energy, Health and Human Capital, and Development, along with two flash talk sessions including presentations by PhD students. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Helmut Rainer from the University of Munich and was titled Diversity and Cooperation. For more information, see Workshop 2024.
CERIS Workshop 2023
The 1st Annual Centre for Economic Research on Inclusivity and Sustainability (CERIS) Workshop took place on 27-28 April 2023 at the University of Galway. It featured 14 speakers across four sessions over two days, and included a mix of internal and invited external speakers. There were sessions on Energy and Carbon Mitigation, Climate Change, Labour and Education, and Health. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Juan Pablo Rud from Royal Holloway, University of London and was titled Exposure or Income? The Unequal Effects of Pollution on Daily Labor Supply.
