Professional Learning for Diversity, Equity and Democracy: Big Ideas for Better Schools - Book Launch
The School of Education celebrated the launch of the book - Professional Learning for Diversity, Equity and Democracy: Big Ideas for Better Schools.
On Tuesday, February 10th 2026 Co-Editors, Emeritus Prof. Gerry Mac Ruairc, Dr Manuela Heinz, School of Education and Maria Jesús Rodriguez-Entrena, Associate Professor in Education, Universidad de Murcia, Spain, invited Helen Maher, Vice President for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, University of Galway, to formally launch their book.
The event opened with a welcome from the editors, followed by the book launch. The evening programme also featured a panel discussion with school and university educators from Ireland, Norway, and the United States, followed by an informal conversation among the guest guest speakers and attendees, by way of a conclusion to the evening.
