The AERA Conference was held this year in Denver, Colorado, April 23–27. The theme of the 2025 Annual Meeting was Research, Remedy, and Repair: Toward Just Education Renewal.

Dr Manuela Heinz served as discussant for the symposium, Charting New Paths Towards Equity and Inclusion: Transforming Environments for All Learners. This symposium was collaboratively delivered with colleagues from Queensland University of Technology, Macquarie University, University of Groningen, University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, Aarhus University, Education University of Hong Kong and Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education.
As Editor of the leading international research journal, European Journal of Teacher Education, Dr Heinz also led a Meet the Editors: Journal Talks for the EJTE at AERA 2025.
Professor Tony Hall, as a Member of the Educational Studies Association of Ireland (ESAI) Executive, contributed a paper on the T-REX teacher research platform as part of the ESAI AERA Symposium, Innovative Approaches to Teacher Professional Development Across the Island of Ireland. A Co-Founder of T-REX, Prof Hall’s paper was titled, “Designing a national digital platform to mediate teacher professional development through supporting the teacher as researcher”. The invited symposium was delivered collaboratively with colleagues from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, ESAI, University of Ulster and Marino Institute of Education Dublin.
