Over two days last week staff and students from the MA in Planning and Development worked in collaboration with planning staff from Galway County Council and staff and students from Presentation College Athenry to engage youth in the planning process.
The exercise involved a site visit to a location which forms part of an Urban Framework Plan for Athenry and a workshop where the MA students guided the secondary school students in creating a tentative design scheme for the site.
On day two the groups presented their findings to planning staff in County Hall.
