Among the projects currently being developed within the ICR is EMBRACE-Mobility, which explores innovative approaches to bridge management by integrating accessibility and community impacts into infrastructure decision-making. The project aims to prototype a decision-support tool that supports bridge maintenance prioritisation while considering the mobility needs of rural and vulnerable communities.

ICR is also working on the CRANN Project, a research initiative focused on improving the understanding and management of bridge scour, one of the leading causes of bridge failure worldwide. The project investigates monitoring, assessment, and modelling approaches that can support more effective bridge inspection and maintenance, helping to strengthen the resilience and safety of critical transport infrastructure.
