Our Vision

To translate biomedical, bioscience and bioengineering research into clinically relevant diagnostics and therapeutics

The Lambe Institute for Translational Research is an applied biomedical research facility at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Research programmes are closely aligned with the core biomedical research priorities of NUI Galway - Cancer, Medical Devices and Regenerative Medicine - and reflect the basic science programmes of the BioMedical Sciences building.

The Lambe Institute is home to over 100 clinical, scientific and engineering researchers. Situated on the University Hospital Galway campus and co-located with the HRB-Clinical Research Facility Galway, research is patient-focused.
