Call for Papers: Radical Imaginations – Rethinking Gender Justice in the Middle East and North Africa
The Centre for Law, Religion and Society is pleased to share a Call for Papers for the workshop Radical Imaginations: Rethinking Gender Justice in the Middle East and North Africa, organised by Dr Tiba Bonyad, Postdoctoral Researcher on the ERC-funded BILQIS Project at the University of Galway.
The workshop will bring together scholars working on gender justice, law, lived experience, and social change across the MENA region. It aims to create space for critical, interdisciplinary conversations that rethink dominant frameworks and open new analytical and political possibilities.
The event is supported by the NUI Grant Scheme for Early Career Academics 2025 and will be hosted at the University of Galway, 6-7th July 2026.
Full details, including themes, submission guidelines, and deadlines, are available here: Call for Paper- GenderJustice in MENA 2026.pdf
