Biography

Hannah Lehnhart-Barnett is a peatland scientist who studies blanket bog hydrology and hydrochemistry. She is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Galway and part of the SAPHIRE team, investigating the use of sensors and telecommunication technology to better characterise hydrological and biogeochemical processes operating in natural and degraded blanket bogs in Ireland. She graduated with a BSc in Geography from the University of Glasgow in 2017, and completed her PhD research at the University of Liverpool in 2022, with her thesis titled: Peatland restoration on the North York Moors: implications for hydrological functioning and water quality.
