Irial Finan joined the Smurfit Kappa Board in February 2012. He was appointed Chair in May 2019. He was Executive Vice President of The Coca-Cola Company and President of the Bottling Investments Group from 2004 until he stepped down from the role in December 2017 and retired in March 2018.
Prior to this Mr Finan served as Chief Executive Officer of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company SA. He joined the Coca-Cola System in 1981.
He also serves on the Boards of Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Holdings Inc. and Fortune Brands Home & Security, Inc. Mr Finan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants.
