Underpining the work of the Community Knowledge Initiative with a research dimension has been a crucial and strategic priority for the Community Knowledge Initiative and University of Galway. The following represents an overview of work published and presented in the last ten years.

CKI Magazines

The CKI have published three magazines to showcase the civic engagement work of students, staff of the university and the wider community.

Volume One of the CKI Magazine gives a flavour of the diverse manifestations and pathways that University of Galway has been unfolding over a ten year period through the Community Knowledge Initiative to connect the university to the community. The cover of the magazine is a painting "Rain Cloud Imagined" and created by artist and Ph.D. studnet Dagmar Drabnet which is part of the University of Galway Arts Collection. In addition, all contributions to the magazine have been complied by students and graduates of the university's journalism programme.

Volume Two of the CKI Magazine once again highlights the new civic engagement pathways and diverse expressions of community partnership at University of Galway.  The front cover of this edition showcases a painting by Lisa O'Donnell, a recent fine art graduate from the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) which is part of the University of Galway Art Collection.

Volume Three of the CKI Magazine higlights a diverse range of growing activities led by University of Galway.
