Former MIDP student Ana Leticia Mandujano (Class of 2024) and Dr. Una Murray collaborated with UNDP New York to assess gender dimensions of climate action under The Climate Promise, the UN’s largest climate support initiative. They focused on the NDC Support Programme, which helps countries meet their commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Paris Agreement. Ana and Una reviewed progress and gathered lessons across governance, planning, and policy dimensions. Their research spanned 10 countries — Bhutan, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ghana, Guatemala, Kenya, Lebanon, Thailand, and Uganda — with Ana focusing particularly on Spanish-language countries and documents. Their report, now published by UNDP, offers strategic recommendations to strengthen gender inclusion in climate governance and NDC implementation.
