Entry Requirements

Applicants must be 21 years of age and Hold a Level 8 Honours Bachelor Degree. Applicants must already possess training in venepuncture and peripheral intravenous cannulation. A letter of support from their clinical setting confirming access to an appropriate clinical mentor will be required.

Purpose:

This micro-credential addresses the growing need for specialised vascular access skills in modern healthcare. The program advances assessment, planning, and decision-making skills alongside insertion and management techniques for ultrasound-guided PIVC. Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this micro-credential, you will receive credits as per the European Credit and Transfer System. These credits are recognised by the awarding institution as credits aligned to learning completed at postgraduate level 9.
