Overview

This Micro-credential will help students develop the skills to communicate successfully in various German-speaking business contexts and environments. Students will gain insights into the economy and culture of German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). 

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be over 21 years of age and a level A2 in German is required (please submit certificate with your application).

What you will Learn

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this micro-credential, you will receive credits as per the European Credit and Transfer System. These credits are recognised by the awarding institution as credits aligned to learning completed at undergraduate level 8.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of intermediate grammar structures (Level B1+ of CEFR) in written and spoken business conversation.
  2. Make use of vocabulary and business terminology in everyday business and conversational situations.
  3. Give oral presentations in German on business-related topics.
  4. Display an understanding of current business issues in a German and European context.
  5. Apply the concept of intercultural and business communication.
