The University of Galway is committed to supporting student wellbeing and safety during exam periods. Students are encouraged to make use of the University’s free mobile app, SafeZone.
SafeZone allows you to quickly raise an alert in case of emergency, request first aid, or check-in with your location while moving around campus, which is particularly useful during late study hours. We strongly recommend that all students download and activate the app to help ensure a safe and secure exam experience."

Calm Zone is open again for this year's Winter Exam session.

The Calm Zone is a space to chill out, escape from sensory stress and overload, and 'just be' while you study for and sit your exams. It's completely understandable if you feel a little overwhelmed at times, and need to take a break. If you do, come to the Calm Zone and relax on bean bags in a softly lit sanctuary, do some arts and crafts, play cards and board games, and chat - or not if you don't feel like it, that's fine too. We have weighted blankets, ear defenders and fidget toys to help you relax.
The Calm Zone will be located in the Bank of Ireland Theatre, next to Sult, from Monday 8th to Friday 19th December. It will open from 10.30am to 5.30pm each day.
