At the Institute for Clinical Trials, innovation is at the core of our mission to advance clinical research. We lead the way in trial design, rigorous evidence synthesis, and the development of core outcome sets, ensuring that every aspect of our work contributes to meaningful advancements in healthcare.  

Through our active role in the Trials Methodology Research Network—a collaborative initiative uniting Irish and international higher education institutions and methodology centers—we push the boundaries of research methodologies. 

Our commitment to innovation is further exemplified by Evidence Synthesis Ireland (ESI), which hosts Cochrane Ireland. ESI aims to make evidence syntheses more usable in every sense—better designed, conducted, and reported, and more applicable for decision-makers within healthcare policy and clinical practice across Ireland and beyond.
