Student Residences

Students on the Irish Studies, Ecology, and Business and International Management summer schools will be housed in self-catering 3-4 bed apartments shared facilities on campus at Corrib Village in Galway City.  Corrib Village and Goldcrest Village | Accommodation Galway Ireland — Accommodation Galway Ireland (campusaccommodation.ie) Housing provides students with single rooms in fully furnished, self-catering apartments. Laundry facilities are available on site. Bed linen, crockery, etc are provided in the apartments. ACCOMMODATION CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY 2024: Campus Living cancellation and refunds

  • If student cancels after 30th April but before 17th May 2024 - 60% accommodation fee applies.
  • If student cancels after 17th May 2024 - full accommodation applies.

Notification of cancellation of the booking should be advised in writing to summerschool@universityofgalway.ie and conference@universityofgalway.ie by the University partner or Student in the case of independent applications and will take effect the day Campus Living receives written notification.
 
TRAVEL AND HEALTH INSURANCE: It is the responsibility of the student to take out private travel and health insurance. Students are expected to insure themselves against theft, loss that may arise. Campus Living does not accept responsibility for such events.
 
LOSS OR DAMAGE: Students and guests will be responsible for any damages incurred as a direct result of improper or disorderly behavior of the client, their guests, or representatives. Acts, omissions or defaults will result in a charge to remedy such damage.

Host Family Accommodation

Students enrolled on the Irish Language Summer School will stay with Irish-speaking families in Carraroe, so that language skills can be practiced outside the classroom. A minimum of three students and a maximum of ten students will be allocated per host family. All students are required to live with a host family so that they have the opportunity to practice their language skills outside the classroom. As part of your accommodation arrangements, you will be provided with meals, bed linen and towels in your home-stay accommodation. Depending on your language ability, you can request to be housed with students of a similar standard.  For more details see the irish Language Summer School website

Field School Accommodation

Achill Archaeological Field School students will stay in accommodation in residential units in a modern self-catering block adjacent to the Field School. Accommodation costs are included in the course fee.  For more information see the Achill Archaeological Fieldschool website 

Caherconnell Archaeological Field School students will stay at Kilfenora Hostel in Kilfenora, Co Clare. Accommodation costs and transport to and from the field school, is included in the course fee. For more information see the Caherconnell Archaeological Fieldschool website
