‘Qatar 2022: Did the human rights community just miss an open goal?’

Nick McGeehan is co-director of human rights NGO FairSquare and a former senior researcher at Human Rights Watch, where he led the organisation's work on the Qatar 2022 World Cup for five years. He has a Phd from the European University Institute, he has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on migrant workers' rights in the Gulf, and he has written extensively on the nexus of sport and human rights.
