Instalment Plan

Under a fee instalment plan, eligible registered students can make equal payments from October to May. Students must reapply for a fee instalment plan each academic year. Final medicine student plans must finish by end of April to allow for early conferring.

Applications for AY25/26 are now open

Apply here

Applications will be approved and emailed to students on the 10th of the month following the month in which they were made

Only a student can apply for a payment plan, not a relative. Non EU new entrants are not eligible for their first year.

How much do I pay each month?
Take your total fees outstanding and divide by the number of instalments approved above.

What date of the month do I pay?
You can select whatever day in the month suits you best.  It is a good idea to set up a reminder in your phone on that date each month.
How will I pay?
Please pay online using your debit/credit card via your student fee portal. https://www.universityofgalway.ie/student-fees/pay-fees/

Will the payment be taken automatically?
No, you have to log on each month to make your payment.

Will I get reminders?
Statements and reminders will be sent throughout the year (even if you are adhering to the instalment plan). The statements will show the full balance owing on that date.
