Requests for Filming on Campus


To request access to the University for filming purposes please follow the below procedure:

E-mail the Press Office at who will verify content of the piece/film and its use. This request must be submitted at least four weeks prior to proposed filming dates.

The Film Company will need to provide evidence of:

  • Public Liability insurance, limit of indemnity €6,500,000
  • Employers Liability, limit of indemnity €13,000,000


Public Liability should be extended to provide a specific indemnity in favour of University of Galway.

A location agreement may need to be signed - the Press Office will advise.

If filming on campus for TV and/or other broadcast, please credit “University of Galway” or for Irish language productions “Ollscoil na Gaillimhe”.
