There are many Hotels, hostels, Bed and Breakfasts and Guest Houses in Galway City and near the University of Galway. Delegates are advised to search for their preferred options on the following websites.

Most hotels are within approx. 1 kilometer from the main University of Galway campus (the Quadrangle and Student's Bar). 

The Human Biology Building is near the Student Bar. The Alice Perry building is on North Campus and is a longer walk (15 mins from the Cathedral); the option of taxi is available.

Note: Delegates are also advised to book for accommodation as early as possible, as Galway is usually busy in Summer.

Getting to Galway City by Bus

From other cities in Ireland
You can get a bus/coach from your city's Coach Station  to Galway Coach Station. You can book your tickets on Citylink website. There are hourly departures from Dublin to Galway. 

From outside Ireland
There are also Galway Coach Station bound buses at the Dublin Airport bus terminal. You can book your tickets on Citylink website.

Note: The Galway Coache Station is in the city centre and is a 13 minutes walk to the Galway Cathedral. Free Now and Uber are also available in Galway to get a taxi.

Parking on Campus

Free on-campus parking permits for IMVIP 2023 Conference participants are available. Parking is free of charge for all the visitors however, please note that you need to register yourself in advance here.

Short term parking is also available via the Pay & Display (P&D) spaces on campus marked with blue lines and the text ("P&D/Í&T"). Payment can be made through the Pay By Phone System.

An alternative method of paying for visitor parking is available through Pay by Phone.  This allows payment to be made on site by downloading the app (apcoaconnect) or remotely through a website.  Local signage will direct you through the process and detail the charges in each location by code.  Once registered this process will not have to be repeated.
