CELT Seminar Series Semester 1 2026/2027
CELT hosts regular seminars during term time on a variety of topics, sharing practice, introducing new ideas, promoting services, and highlighting topical issues. These hybrid sessions interleave discussions about teaching and learning with technology-focused overviews, and provide a mix of internal, national and international perspectives.
The one hour sessions are generally held on a Thursday 12-1 and have both in person and remote attendance options. This semester session 4, November 12th, will take place online only.
Through this series, we aim to establish a forum in which people can share and discuss ideas with one another, and learn about what's happening across the university and beyond.

The What Learning Looks Like podcast is a production of the New York University Office of Teaching Excellence & Innovation (TEI) that features conversations with experienced faculty members sharing their expertise about learning and intellectual development with a general audience – students, faculty, administrators, employers, parents, anyone – who is interested in higher education and its value. In the November 12 seminar session, Lucy Appert, Senior Director of the TEI, will share some of the key takeaways and strategies from podcast guests and lead a conversation about participants' own classroom concerns and strategies in this time of change and challenge for the traditional structures of learning in higher education.
