CASSCS Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Seminar Series 2026. Menopause: Social and Medical Justice for Women
Kate Muir (women’s health expert, writer and documentary maker) in conversation with Maria Walsh MEP and Dr Richard Hull Organised by Dr Richard Hull (School of History and Philosophy)
Menopause can have a significant impact on women’s health and well-being.
This roundtable event will discuss perimenopause and menopause as an issue of social and medical justice, featuring Kate Muir (women's health expert, writer and documentary maker) in conversation with Maria Walsh MEP and Dr Richard Hull. It seeks to raise awareness of symptoms, experiences and treatments, with a view to suggesting ways forward for the College, University and wider society in terms of improving education and understanding, confronting prejudice; and creating a more sympathetic workplace environment.
This event is part of the CASSCS Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Seminar Series, 2026. All welcome.
The seminar series is organised by Dr Sarah-Anne Buckley, Vice-Dean for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the CASSCS. Any queries please contact Sarah-anne.buckley@universityofgalway.ie
