Important Information

Applications / Nominations

  • Nominations open February 15th and close on April 15th for FY/SM1, opening September 15th and closing October 15th for SM2.
    • Partners will be contacted directly with the nominations form. 
    • We do not accept nominations through email nor do we accept any nominations past the deadline.
  • Applications will open April 1st and close April 30th for FY/SM1, opening October 1st and closing October 30th for SM2.
    • Students will be contacted directly by us no earlier than the opening date.
    • We do not accept any applications past the deadline.
  • Students will be advised to have the following documentation ready when they begin their applications. Applications will not be considered complete upon failure to submit this documentation:
    • A photograph (this must be a front-facing headshot from the shoulders up).
    • A copy of their passport.
    • Certification that they have a Level B2 on the CEFR framework.
    • Transcripts (only applicable to Science and Engineering students). 

Learning Agreements 

  • All Learning Agreements are processed digitally through EWP.
  • Any signature on an OLA prior to a students arrival denotes approval in principle only of the outlined modules.
  • The 'Receiving Responsible Person' who must sign your learning agreement is your University of Galway Academic Coordinator.
    • Noting the incorrect Receving Responsible Person will result in the OLA being declined.

  • University of Galway does not have a deadline for receipt of learning agreements from incoming Erasmus students.

Course/ Module Registration

  • Students do not register for modules until after their arrival.
  • Registration is thoroughly covered in the mandatory Orientation.

Accommodation

Unfortunately the Global Galway Office is not involved in the accommodation process. However, University of Galway have a dedicated Accommodation Advisory Service to help our students find appropriate accommodation. You can also refer to the Accommodation Tips we have compiled for you.
