Our Research
The Department of OtoRhinoLaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery is devoted to a multidisciplinary approach to studying diseases of the head and neck. Our investigators are currently conducting basic and clinical studies to gain an increased understanding of the causes and interventions for head and neck diseases such as head and neck cancer, hearing loss. Furthermore, we are committed to conducting clinical research that protects our patients by following good clinical practices
The ultimate goals of our research are to make treatment advancements in head and neck diseases, particularly cancer, and to utilize basic science findings toward improvements in patient care and quality of life. We are dedicated to improve the health of individuals and the community by “translating” these findings into diagnostic tools, medicines, procedures, policies and education.

Otorhinolaryngology has been chosen as a partner for 2014/2015 year in a specialist medical device innovation training programme, modeled on the prestigious Stanford BioDesign programme.
