Research Opportunities
Researchers within the Discipline of Pharmacy are members of University of Galway’s Institute for Health Discovery and Innovation, Institute for Clinical Trials, Galway Neuroscience Centre, Centre for Pain Research, and the ARC HUB for HealthTech.
The Discipline has a strong track record of collaboration with industry partners, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies, supporting translational research and the development of innovative medicines and health technologies. We also welcome engagement with visiting scientists and researchers from Ireland and internationally, fostering a vibrant and collaborative research environment.
Our research activities are further strengthened through participation in European and global networks, including the Erasmus+ Programme and the ENLIGHT European University Alliance, enabling staff and students to engage in collaborative projects, exchanges, and joint research initiatives.
