Dr Eóin McEvoy
Dr Eóin McEvoy is an Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering, where his research group focuses on the development of advanced computational and experimental models of cell and tissue remodelling in cancer and immune-mediated disease. Dr McEvoy currently leads an ERC-funded project (€1.5m) to investigate the mechanobiology of tumour growth and therapy resistance, with ongoing projects including breast cancer spheroid/ organoid engineering and active cell-based computational modelling. He has secured over €2.2m in competitive research funding, with other research topics spanning immune cell mechanobiology, and soft tissue biomechanics. His work has been published in top journals in his field, including Nature Communications and Cell Reports.
